A water haiku

Author:

I like to think I'm a story teller. I love stories. I believe the world is filled with stories just waiting to be told and learned. I enjoy travelling down the road less travelled, with my iPhone and journal in each hand. Here you'll find all my poetic musings... Enjoy!

  1. I like the idea of the image, sucked me in pretty quickly, and I really enjoyed your haiku. I read it a few times and really appreciate the use of so few little words to create a feel. Have you written many haikus before?

    1. Thank you for the lovely comment. It’s much appreciated. I have dabbled in haiku before but I feel every time is a new learning experience. I enjoy the idea of capturing a moment in a single breath.

      1. The haiku has really struck a chord with me. I’m eager to try and get a handle on it. My excitement lead to a second haiku for the challenge. “Capturing a moment in a single breath.” Couldn’t have phrased it better.

  2. I love the imagery of ‘life’s lagoon’ and the use of alliteration there too. And top marks on presentation! I could barely manage to post the link so I’ll be amazed if anyone sees mine – new to this blogging malarkey 😉
