Ahoy there, and many thanks for visiting.
Welcome to Always Chum Poetry
In reality, my name is Charlie. I live in a beautiful city at the bottom of the world where I like to create.
Some of my creative experiments include poetry, calligraphy, iphotography, cookies and cupcakes.
Six random things about me:
1. Made in England with a dash of Welsh and Anglo-Indian ancestry. I call Australia home.
2. Garfield is my spirit animal.
3. Vampires fascinate me.
4. My day job is in superannuation (pension).
5. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s in Communication.
6. My favourite television shows include Doctor Who, Gilmore Girls, Vampire Diaries, West Wing, Newsroom, Hart of Dixie.
7. I remember life before the Internet. But have a somewhat social media presence,
- Twitter (www.twitter.com/alwayschum)
- Instagram (www.instagram.com/alwayschum)
Enough about me though, what about you?
Hello Charlie, I was also born on fathers day in 1985, also fascinated with the supernatural all of my life. This is so interesting. Take care and I look forward to reading more of your work.

Thanks for swinging by and apologies for the late reply. How crazy coincidence. I guess Gemini’s are born curious writers 🙂

Charlie, I’m so thrilled and honored that you chose to follow my “Randa Lane…” haiku blog! I’m very serious about the craft of haiku and look forward to any comments you may have. I’ve just begun to explore your poetry but find it extraordinary by any standards. You have a refreshing style and an easy grace with language, both rare in online poetry.
I wish you every success in your writing journey.
With Respect and Admiration,
Ron — http://randalane.wordpress.com

Thank you Sir for your charming words. It is a pleasure to be following you. I have long been fascinated by the craft of haiku’s and more recently, tanka’s. I’ve often thought of poetry as a road less travelled, each step bringing new discoveries 🙂

It’s wonderful to have met you charlie!! A fellow Aussie – I have not come across that many in here, though they all do seem to come out of the woodwork whenever I wrote a politically motivated post – which is surprising because they are usually so long winded.. lol
🙂
Look forward to reading through some more of your posts and poetry!!

Thank you for visiting and commenting. Yes, Garfield and I have had a lot in common over the years; hatred of Mondays, love of lasagne… I am glad to hear he is still liked by the younger generations 🙂

Hi Charlie, found you through Pooky’s poetry prompts. I live in Adelaide but just happen to have had tea with Pooky a day ago, while on holidays. There is perhaps no better TV than our good Doctor.
